Coercive Control
Coercive control is a pattern of behavior used by one person to dominate and control another, often in intimate or family relationships. Unlike physical abuse, it can be subtle and insidious, gradually eroding your autonomy and sense of self. It can include manipulation, isolation from friends and family, monitoring what you do, where you go, who you see, what you spend, and so many other aspects of your life.
Coercive control can exist without physical violence, and over time, it can have you doubt yourself. So many people experience this, yet not everyone knows the term. Instead, it can be a pit in your stomach. It just doesn't feel right.
Talk to someone. You are not alone.

This collection is my hope to start more conversations about coercive control and give more people a label to that pit in their stomach. The pieces themselves can even provide a soft launch point for conversations about coercive control.

"I love your earrings!"

"Thanks, they're from this collection that..."

And each time you wear this collection, each time you touch them, they slowly polish, becoming brighter and brighter.
